sketchies!!!

Three days left in India, and i felt as close to a real ~ live "AMMA" as i could be. My little one came down with chicken pox, and Sherry's Trabini was rescued from an eye infection that could have entered her brain if left untreated. I gave cuddles and hugs liberally, and one favorite pastime was "SKETCHIES," coloring together and communicating beyond Telegu with art. We looked at the world map and found India and Wisconsin... we drew houses, creatures, hearts and words. I'll never forget these quiet nurturing moments with each child, the questions they asked, the things that made us all really laugh... i learned that children without parents are absolutely starved for simple, nurturing touch... and they take very good care of each other, as that is the one tangible attachment they have each day. How i miss them! Every child at Daddy's home came out to send us off- they lined the drive for 1/2 a mile ... what on earth do you do when you've "adopted" 100+ children on the other side of the world ?!!! Well ... you start saving for the next plane ticket...
